the shock/spring setup is good on all 4 corners, and fairly new at that (only 8k for mileage). But the diagnosis will be complete 2night along with the install of my new Diff Brace!

Ok. well i got under there and pulled off the radiator shroud only to find that the sway bar mounts are fine. Also my tokicos dont have bump stops in them on either side, so that cant be the case because its only doing the body roll on the drivers side...pics are to follow. Anybody got ideas?

Its broken!!!....
You can see the left over chuncks on the top of springs...
That is the bump stop along with the rubber that support the upper springs.
Compare it with my picture from parts diagram, it suppose to shape like that....

he said that the bump stop is missing on both sides, so it couldnt be the bump stop. but i agree w/ you reza, it does look like the bump stop has been rubbed/cut off.

just a thought, can you notice any other parts of metal that are bent. such as the brackets holding the sway bars, ect...

Well, maybe if you have passenger it will rub on the passenger side too.
This has happened to me. When its only me driving, it rubs on my side. When I have passenger, both side rubs. On quick turns it won't rub as much, on a sweeper, it will rub, because the shock will have time to settle. The bump stop will prevent it from settling too far...

Its hard to see bent swaybar from that photos. He need to drop the tray cover and jack up the car higher, then photos from bottom. that way you can see it bent.
Most likely, it is bent.

just get rid of the eibach springs and get some coilover conversions and you should be fine. i found the koni/eibach combo way too soft for aggressive driving. how old are the shocks?

alwan16- In a perfect world, i would get the best coilover setup....but im still paying off the car and dont have $2-3k laying around. Plus my current Tokico/Eibach setup is only 8k miles old.

Reza- the car will rub with just my 150lbs driving, my dad's 230lbs driving only, or either of us driving and in the passenger seat. On sweeping turns, it will scrape the ENTIRE turn. I was a little wary of pulling out those back plugs on that tray as they usually break apart and leave u screwed, but i will carefully pull them out and get some bottom pics of the Sway bar and mounts.

Now...assuming the sway bar/brackets are broken/bent, what setup would u go with? Its a daily driver/track car. I will replace the mounts and bar at once and save myself the PITA factor if it needs to be done. It sounds like the Widefoot mounts are definitely worth the money...but what bar would u go with? Racing Beat or Tripoint or SR Motorsports?

How do the rear anti-sway bar mounts look? A malfunctioning rear bar will change handling stability as well.

i dont think it would affect handling in the FRONT of the car, as a whole side doesnt roll, but just the front portion of the car...but i will check anyway

i believe ground control makes a coilover conversion kit for the tokicos. they cost around 500. yeah, you gotta shell out some extra dough but it will convert you to linear rate springs and allow you to adjust the height. just an option. in any case take some more pics of those mounts.

get the widefoot mounts if you do switch. they are really nice. i'm about to buy a tri-point sway bar set so i won't be able to comment on that for a couple more days

well i hadnt heard about that conversion...it'll be something i look into once i get some cash neway I'm a fan of doing something once with the right parts instead of doing it in steps. How much do the Widefoot mounts go for as well as the tri-point bar?

Seriously the cheap fix it to get your bump stop back in place.
Don't know why the bump stop was cut on your photos.
You can buy a bump stop from local race shop, cut a slit thru it, so you can put it in. After you put it in, you can secure it with zip ties. one or two should do it.

I had this problem as I said before. I have tokico and eibach, it rubbed the most on setting 1 and rubbed less on setting 5.

Well, it rubs the same amount on setting one or five, so i dont really know if messing with the shocks/springs is going to truely solve the problem. I dont know of many race shops around me that stock that stuff, and i suppose autozone doesnt have them? lol

Check the end links on your front sway bar. This would be the part that keeps the car from swaying. If that is gone, the sway bar won't do much of anything.

don't have to be import place. I do shop at my local domestics stuff too. They are good for stuff like these and you can be very creative and cost effective.
I think even pepboys have them too.

Could the steering rack mount on the driver side be broken? Or the rubber bushing gone? Seems logical that if the rack travels a bit under load, you would scrape... Don't know how logical that is... If at all..

1) The rubber bushings on the ends of the swaybar may be shot
2) Get Racing Beat, or anybody who gives you Poly Urathane Mounts/Bushings, which will outlast the car, as opposed to rubber which will most likely need to get replaced soon....
