Is this what a blown apex seal sounds like (video)

my car has a horrible idle, i have to keep it above 1200rpm at a stoplight or else the car starts shaking pretty bad. is this a sign of a bad apex seal?Had it compression checked not too long ago and it was somewhere around 92 psi on both rotors. i think you have to check to see if there are three jumps or something but i forgot about that and just checked for max psi. It also makes a very noticeable noise shown in the video. I don't see any smoke when i startup and it doesn't overheat or give me low coolant warnings. also starts up pretty quick but it seems gutless before 2000rpms. this happened after a 100mile round trip, i was pretty hard on the car getting it to boost but it was perfect before i took that trip. now my idle is pretty bad.

you need to copy the link and paste it in your browser. (3mb file)

You cant tell much of anything by that..you should be revving the engine up and such. Still, a compression check is the real way to tell. FWIW< most blown rotaries turn over with a slower, rhythmic pulsating sound, like a horse gallop, and start up similar to an old lawnmower.

had the same symptoms...but in addition my start up was slower...like rotaryresurrection suggested. turned out to be a craked apex seal . check all the simple things first..hoses, fuel, ignition, ect..ect.. and good luck

Uh.....maybe.

When mine blew I couldn't get the engine to idle at all, I had to keep it revved to 3K or higher and it sounded like ****....and then it started making a REALLY LOUD banging noise, and then....BAM!.....it just stopped.....
