OK it came off the water pump that i sent to dave at kds and he said i left this one on, what is it and where dose it go?

From the pictures angle it looks like the oil level senser that goes in the oil pan on the driver side , the mounting plate should have a place for an O-ring, the plate mounts with three 10 mm bolts so the plate will have three holes if I am guessing correctly, post pictures of other angles if you think I am incorrect
