SEQUENTIAL GUYS What R Yer Boost Patterns??

mine is 12-9.5-14 right now...with a bit of acting up at transition.

Im curious to see if anyone is running over 12lbs on the primary and if so..what the secondary # would be...

Hey Artguy...

Why do you have a big drop-off between the turbos?

I think my pattern is 12.5 - 15 - 14. Around there...

I dont know...am diagnosing it now...could be a few things which I am not sure which...Ive been only tuning fuel lately and am finally able to mess with the boost...was hoping for some good input and was wanting to see what everyones numbers were as a frame of reference.

its all a learning experience for me. but i will get this right.

Our cars always have a drop off at the transition. Standard pattern is 10-8-10 if you are still seq. a 12.5-15-14 sounds more like non-seq.

artguy,

How many threads can you possible start about the same subject? Maybe you should start a few more, just to be sure.

hahah...funny man.

this topic is only for people who can tell me what their boost pattern is.

a lot of folks dont want to spend the time digging thru a complicated boost question to find a question they can answer.

this is a simple one....come on guys...what are yer boost patterns?

anyone else with a pattern like wades?

wade...how are you getting that spike at transition? is that happening on a regular basis or just on occasion?

My boost pattern is 12.5-10-12.5, never changes. But there is a slight vacuum leak at idle, Im workin on that right now.

Is it safe to run boost patterns of 12-14-15 with a pfc, but no boost controller?

14-10-14 but I've purposely softened up the changeover because I'm worried about spikes.

artguy,

I normally run either 12-14-15 or 14-10-15. The second one is faster overall but has the momentary big drop in hp at changeover. The first pattern isn't as fast overall but feels a little better.

To get the first pattern I just open the pc a bit. Then the 2ndary gets plenty of prespool. If I close the pc a bit I get the second pattern.

If you've got a haltech then why not use an auxiliary output? I've got the whole seq. system running of auxiliaries. Works great plus I can test stuff with a laptop.

running those patterns with the pfc and no boost contrllr should be safe with the pills in there and as long as you watch your boost levels...keep an eye out for spiking and problem signs...but as long as you are running enough fuel to handle the boost level and your car is tuned for it then you will be fine.
