weres the Stat cap located
Quote I used to have this problem with my fd Strangley enough just after a re build.
For example I would drive the car to the gas station to fill up. When I got back into the car after paying the buzzer would go off due to the car pissing all the coolant out of the over flow. The car would also gurgle like it had a pain in the guts as well. I cured it by replacing the stat, which was stuck closed. Also I replaced the AST pressure cap as a precaution. Quote
think im having the same problem weres the Stat cap located???
pictures any one? my cars too modded by dragon performance cant see half the engine cos of the intercooler pipes so the user manuals no good
thanks for any help lads

thermostat is in the top front of the engine, where the filler cap is located that whole housing holds the thermostat, look it up in the FSM as it will give pics and how to replace it.
the pressure cap is on the AST, the AST is mounted to the intercooler between the engine and intercooler, if this cap is failed or weak it will allow pressure and coolant out of the system into the overflow and consequently onto the ground.
