Went from ACT to spec, clutch pedal engages WAY deeper

Hi!
I recently went from ACT to a Spec clutch due to a very good deal i got, and since the car is only a nice weather car now, i can afford the "drop" in longevity and ware...

But, after pulling through 0,5 litres in the tiny system the clutch is, the pedal still engages the clutch waaaay deep into the foot well, way deeper than what i remember from my old setup... The car broke down 4,5 years ago, and since then ive torn the car to atoms and rebuilt it from scratch...

Have any of you experienced this change in engagement when swapping between clutch brands?

If yes, did you solve it simply by adjusting the rod that engages the master cylinder?

cheers

Just adjust the rod. Make sure you have the nut on there so it doesnt unspin itself

the adjusting in itself is no problem, im just worried that the problem might be elsewhere, if anyone else hasnt experienced that problem when changing clutch brand.

Do you have a stainless braided clutch line? If you have a stock rubber line and use a heavier pressure plate the engagement point will be way down by the floor. That's from the stock hose swelling with the additional hydraulic load from the heavy pressure plate.

Corksport, Banzai Racing, and many more sell clutch lines. You can many times have them made up by a hydraulic line shop too.

i just put a a fairly new ACT clutch and heavy duty pressure plate, i had my local brake shop make me a steel braided clutch to slave line. when i first drove the car clutch was bitting at the bottom of the floor and just adjusted the push rod nut and it was fine.

Got the braided line so thats not it.
Will doublecheck the arm pushing the clutchfork through the inspection hole.
If all is good ill adjust pedal.
