welding ceramic coated parts?

So I want to replace my poorly fitting, mild steel downpipe with a stainless one from Gotham. They offer a service to ceramic coat the downpipe, which would be awesome, but I want to have a bung welded onto it for a wideband.

Can you weld ceramic coated parts or do I have to forego the coating, have the bung welded, then coat afterwards?

Yeah you would have to knock off the coating in the area you wanted the bung welded. I would reccomend welding all parts first then coating
