weird starting problem
Ok I dont know how serious this is but , when my 3rd gen RX7 is cold, it can take about 4 or maby 5 seconds to start the car, but then if you turn it off imediatley after starting it, anf turn it back on again, it starts up in about 1 second or so. Again im not sure how serious this is but im wondering if anyone knows why this is happening?
Its obvious that it has nothing to do with the car being cold or hot, it only does this first thing in the morning when it hasnt been started all day.Keep in mind the car also still needs a tune up, I havent done that yet because other more important problems need to be taken care of first=( but ya if anyone can help me out thatd be great

Fuel Pressure would be my guess.
On my FD, when I try and start the car, the fuel pump doesn't prime the fuel system. It will however prime the fuel system if you try to start the car and it doesn't when the key moves back to the on position. It is pretty loud and you should hear the fuel pump if it's quiet outside.
When I had a leaky Fuel Pulsation Damper my car was hard to start because the pressure in the fuel lines leaked out.
Oh yeah, nice to see someone local!

ok , when I turn the key to the on position, I do NOT hear the fuel pump priming the system, but I can hear the fuel pump relay clicking. does this mean a bad fuel pump?
