Basically, my car has an intermittent starting issue. Seemingly at random, i'll come out to my car and try to start it, it will then immediately fire and run for a second and then shut off. After this no amount of cranking will make it try to run. The only options for getting it to run is to wait a few hours or more or bump start it.

So far i've replaced the plugs, Every time it refuses to start I alternate between full throttle and no throttle to try to start it, but nothing seems to work. I've also checked to make sure the plugs spark and I can definitely smell fuel out of the exhaust.

Any suggestions?

 

Forgot to mention the car had electrical issues and seems to run rich. Grab a new stock ECU and see where it leaves me?

 

is there a large change in tempurature between when you cant start it and when you can?
