i live in japan i have a jdm rx7 '93, please help me whenever i turn on my head light my right side (driver side) the whole light systems on that side (sidemarkers, headlights, drive light, front blinker) are really dim it seem like im not gettin enough juice into it, i first relized it when i thought my front headlight was burnt, because the right turn signal was blinking fast.. anyways i went to change headlights bulb and that wasnt the problems, the lights works its just really dim.. my right side eyes doesnt even pop up when i turn on the headlights only when i press the dash button to flip it up.. can someone help me out or have the same problems..

 

Not sure its related but in the past I've checked under my front wheel arch and the mud guard was missing which exposes the front electricial harness. My car was lowered and over the years the tyre would scrape the harness before finally chewing into.

I had a look and there were a whole chunk of wires which needed to be spliced back up. At that time I was having problems with lights dimming out and fuses blowing continuously, i.e I had an open circuit in the harness.

Try having a look under both wheel arches to see if you've got the same problem.

 

Also when looking under the wheel arch make sure your tires have not rubbed through the liner. There is a wiring harness trunk laying on one of those fender liners.

 

the liner is good, the mud guards are good, what else can be the problems, will a burnt light bulb do that to the car? The rear taillight blinkers on the problem side stay lite...

 

You ever figure this out? I have exactly the same symptoms.
