weird pop noise now idle problem

I'm not really sure what happened. The radio was not turning on so I started checking fuses. I popped the 10A to the interior, looked good reinstalled. The antenna started going up with the car in the off position. I popped the fuse back out went down. back in stayed down. Started the car heard a pop and a puff of smoke out driver fender. Car now revs to 4k+ on start up and calms down after that is SUPER touchy with the idle. checked fuse again didnt blow.

checked all my connections and fuses again. the fuse was blown and I think the audible pop and smoke was from that fuse blowing. I replaced it. radio works antenna works.

I also think im making the mistake of lumping problems together and the TB is gummed out or out of whack causing my high idle.

Take the elbo off have a look at the flaps if u do end up taking it apart the idle control valve may want cleaning

Any chance the cable is getting snagged ?

You could disconect the idle control valve and manuly set the idle see if the hi idle still remains
When its cooled

Just an idea

How long have you drove for ?
Whens the last time it was driven
How long does idle take to settle

cable was my first thought. checked it nope.

It doesnt get driven nearly often enough and might be part of the problem. the idle settles after a couple minutes and doesnt do it again. but throttle is very touchy in the low range. gonna start with the flaps and adjusting tb/control valve.
