Weird Noise Diagnostic... I think Airpump

Hi, I'm having a strange problem with my airpump. (I know, I know! ) It was clicking on and off at under 3000 RPMs at random one second or so intervals and my charge light comes on under 3k. So I removed the Air Pump relay fuse in the engine compartment. So now the air pump isn't engaging but I keep hearing a weird click and the charge light is still on under 3000 RPMs. Anyone know what this could be? I plan on removing the air pump soon but I'm not very good with tools.

What the fack? Ok, after driving around for a while the light shut off and the clicking stopped. I don't trust problems that fix themselves but for now well... I'll just count my blessings. After all the problem started by itself so why shouldn't it stop by itself?

Mine acted the same exact way, needed an alternator. Very easy install too, just the damn belt is a pain.
