when im driving and bring the rpms up to 4k and when i let off the accelerator it makes a "Woohhh" like a cop is going to pull me over. anyone know what this might be?

yeah It has a Hks one, it also has Apexi exhaust and intake

which would be me. i have read that once somone has heard this noise there turbo went out shortley after. should i be worried??

did you put the restrictor pill in the hose to the airpump when you put on the intakes? maybe its the airpump

 

Can you elaborate on this? Are you supposed to do this? I dont think I did anything like this wehen installing my intake. Thanks.

IMO it could be any intake pipe as well, since if the leack or the cut is not so big it might produce and sound like BOV...

 

well when i got my apexi intakes it came with a very big restrictor pill that you are supposed to put in one of the hoses that goes from the airpump to the intakes. without this pill in it will sound like your car is "mooing". try unplugging the electrical connector to your airpump (dont keep it unplugged or your cat will clog up) and if the sound goes away then the a/p is the problem.

 

i think my car makes that moooing sound... Is it bad? It doesnt bother me too much. I like the look on th epassengers face when they think it is a cop or something.

pill eh?? i didnt get one with my apexi intake. what exactly does it look like.

 

My 7 has just started making this noise. It only happens when i hit 5psi. I could make an audio file of it, if anyone thinks that can help. I'll check back here but email me or IM me on aol shawntx76. I'd like to not be so worried about my turbo going out

its about maybe 3/4 inch wide and its got a small hole in the middle to restrict air flow. but i have a third gen maybe second gens are different and dont need the pill

 

just to add my noise was like a bad french horn and it was caus a BIG crack down clamp was falling off , not even lose, i have a wave flie of it if ananyone wants to hear ...... keywords 93 rx-7 noise trubo bov crv coolant
