Weird mods so which FMIC to buy?

Okay... I have read previous threads and I still can't decide which FMIC is best for my car. I bought the 93 RX7 R1 a few months ago. I bought it with a mild streetported motor... I am going to buy a koyo radiator and FMIC, my problem is I have the HKS twin tubo intake I think it's the "mega flow" with non polished piping. I also have the Greddy elbow. I was thinking to get the Apex'i GT FMIC kit for the TT (with the intake kit). But I don't know what to do since I have the Greddy elbow and HKS intake (with the apex I have to get rid of both, right?). I also live in So Cal and I daily drive it (unfortunately it's my only car). What to do?! Thanks.

I would go with the greddy 2 row fmic from rx7store. It is only $850 I believe, and will work with the greddy elbow. If the intake gets in the way, im sure you can fabricate something to make it fit.

I would go with the Greddy 2 row FMIC as well, you will be able to figure out something with the intakes if you cant get them to fit. You are going to needed the upgraded radiator and probably should run some water wetter to keep your car cool, mine would heat up easily with the FMIC when I was in So Cal.

On that topic : ). Someone posted some info about CARB requirements to the RX7 list recently. The statement from the CARB rep was that intercoolers do not need CARB numbers at all. As long as the turbos and airpump are left alone all IC's are CARB legal, course that assumes they don't remove other emissions stuff too like the cats etc. So if you're worried about CARB numbers on ICs forget about it. You don't need them.

Before you go buying that Greddy 2row, let me just add my $.02. You have the right intake set up to install the greddy, but, from my experiences, there seems to be more that has to be done when comparing the Greddy to the Blitz. With the greddy, you must cut the front bumper, you must cut off a piece of metal on the inside of your engne bay and you will have a hard time installing the radiator because the greddy brackets are very confusing. My buddy has the Blitz FMIC and the install process was amazingly less complicated. There's no cutting whatsoever of the front bumper, the radiator brackets are cut and dried, the battery tie downs are simple and most importantly......when comparing the water temps of my greddy front mount to the water temps of my buddy's Blitz frount mount, he seems to have on average, lower water temps.
