Weird electrical problem - most things don't power up

OK, I searched and couldn't find anything remotely similar. I have a weird electrical problem, where on turning the key, I hear a click from the ABS module and another one in the dash area. Besides the windows, sunroof blower motor and flash to pass function, NOTHING else gets power. A summary of the details: I bought the car as a non-runner with a blown motor. The car sat like that for years. Now all the work has been done and a fresh rebuild is back in the car. I checked all the fuses, and the output from the ignition switch and they're seemingly OK. I'd like to know if anyone has had this happen to their cars before before I go on a wire trace expedition. Could this be a major ground issue? Could it be a faulty relay someplace? I know I'm asking general questions, but something this big has to have a key component or harness that has been overlooked. Anyone with any insight?

if the wiring harness is well connected and complete, bang on the relays or replace some of them are NOT contacting or working from sitting too long.

Just a possibility, but after I had my car at the shop when it was hit, none of the interior lights worked. I checked the fuse, and sure enough...blown. Replaced the fuse and everything worked fine again. Check your wiring and your fuses...could just be that.

Thanks for the suggestions. I finally figured it out. The fuse/relay box by the driver's strut tower wasn't getting any power. All's well...
