So my boost started to fall off this past week and my boost guage is reporting like .32 to .34 KPH Max. I'm not really sure of the cause and start to investigate. Everything was checking out fine and none of the more common things I'd found in the past were present. I was beginning to hit the wall when a friend of mine, Alex, says... check your compessor side hoses; I'm still running the stock ones & stock IC. His brother Nick gave me more detail saying that they had a lower IC (stock) hose blow out right under the metal shield. They had a hell of a time trying to find it!! Anyway...

I pulled mine, wondering if I'd find the same thing. Took off the shield.... and .... no break... !! No Split !!! ****... so now what.

About a minute later my son, Ryan, who I'd handed the hose to had taken it an began squeezing the sides. Meantime, I was looking at something else... Then he says... "... is this what you're looking for?" There, on the back side of the hose is a 3 to 5 inch split or tear on the ribbed surface. It wasn't obvious when I pulled it... Anyway, I replaced the hose and headed for the highway for an Italian Tuneup!!

I nailed it in 2nd, 3rd 4th and some of 5th.... The car was hitting just under 160 mph when I shut it down....My boost guage reported a peak of .94 KPA.....
Oh... and some new white twin turbo carrera followed me. He didn't pass me.... not sure if he didn't want to.... or Couldn't?!?!

Because of it's location, this Boost leak was tough to locate. It's location makes it easy to miss and impossible to hear. Thanks for the help Alex and Nick!
