I can't believe we got two pages out of a debate over wether or not its a good idea to remove the stinking wiper. I removed mine... didn't like the looks of it. It isn't a big weight savings, but neither is almost any individual component on the car... remove several though, and you've got 100 lbs. Unless you're planning on driving around with the roof cut off, or a lawnmower engine in the car, that's how you'll save weight. By removing a binch of unecessary little things.

Right Don, since the driveshaft is only 3 or so inches in diameter, the 3 pounds isn't like a 3 lb reduction in a flywheel that removed the mass from the outer sections of a 12in diameter flywheel. I did my CF driveshaft the same time I did the 4.33 gears and couldn't tell the difference other than the gearing.
