Wedge collar experts help me out, pics inside
I think it is wedge collar
looks like I bent some of the pins when pulling the engine from tranny. I seperated properly from release collar no problem. I am sure this happened when yanking engine out. As you can see the pins are bent in some places. Should the small pins be inside or outside of the ring? in other words, how should it compress, there are 5 large pins with hooks on end, shoudl those point straight up. I just want to bend them back.
Thanks

They are straight. I would recommend that you replace it with a new one. If you are buying a new pressure plate from someone that sells RX-7 parts, they should supply a new one.

Damn Phil.. I am surprised your engine already needed a rebuild. what do you think caused your original engine to go? You have much less mileage on your 7 than mine as well. I of course have not modded my engine to the extent you had. =)
So where did you get your new engine and how much was it?

I removed the airpump and didn't make any adjustments. I am pretyt sure that is what did it. I was running lean at low RPMs. but I had low compression to begin with.
Kib,
how is the torque brace working out? when I removed my engien I found the driver's side engine mount shot. I just ordered another one. I can't wait to use the torque brace and see hwat it does with good enginemounts
BTW, another Torque brace GB is on in GB section for those that missed out last time.
