Are we the most demanding when it comes to our cars?
Now listen, I'm not just asking demanding performance wise either. I am also asking about everything performance related. I think the majority of FD owners think alot about stuff most other car owners don't. I think we go into extreme's to find out how everything effects our cars from standard Hp numbers all the way to aerodynamic resistance. Most owners would never even consider half the stuff we think about. Is it just a typical rotary think outside the box mentality?

Definitely not. I don't even expect mine to run all the time.
I mean, think about it; Honda owners demand that their cars be fast. DSM owners demand respect from others. Nissan owners expect that they can trash their cars and drive them to school the next day. BMW owners demand that you get off their roads, and Porshe owners, well...
I don't think rotary owners demand too much from their cars.

Are you kidding? Have you read half the posts that occur in the 3rd Gen section? Its crazy and seems to get worse each week. I know this won't break any hearts but I rarely enter the 3rd gen section anymore due lack of good posts to read.
I don't think rx7 people are different from any other owners. Some care a lot and most just want it run sort of well and if it goes then thats good enough for them.

I was on my motorcycle going 25 through a residential area... and a older guy in a black bmy x3 caught up to me from WAY back and had to slam on his brakes not to run me over...
So at the next 4 way stop (after he has been within 4 feet or less off my rear tire, and I had already turned around and waved him to back off a couple times) I put the kickstand down and walk over to his window. I asked him nicely to please stop riding my ***, since I do not feel like dying if a child runs out in front of me. i stop to save teh kid and he runs me over. Not my idea of fun.
He tells me to **** off.
So i keep heading straight and he follows even closer swerving back and forth. mind you, I am doing EXACTLY 25.. the maximum speed limit for a residential in this area. so the next 4 way, I walk over to his window and punch it (armored gloves are awesome) He rolls his window down and starts yelling. So I point my hand right at his face and say "you're lucky I didn't break the window, knock your **** off before I **** your **** up"
Guess what.. he didnt tailgate me after that.
However, this is not indicative of all BMW owners, just this one person. overall, every driver of every type of vehicle has the capability to be an unsafe idiot. I have even done asinine things in my day. Have I toned it down since I got a motorcycle... yes I have..... except on those empty open roads...
But you know.. i will expect my rx7 to be good to me as long as I am good to her. that is all I expect.
