The way to increase the value of our 3rd gens!
Pantera owners did it
Pantera owners sold cars to members in their clubs at increasingly higher numbers to gain over 25% of their value some time ago. They were far below comparable cars prior to this. They are still around the bottom but a high bottom it is.
it is alot of fun. Just have to be picky on where you step into it. Alot of families out there around this time, everyone try to be safe, and I'll see you at the track.

Its been too long.It sounds like a good idea, I won't sell mine for less than $20k.
if you crash your car, it will make the rest of our cars more valuble
supras cost so expensive cuz less then they shipped only 1/2 the amount of fd's which were shipped to the US.
nah im totally kidding, please dont crash any more fd's, it makes me cry in side every time i see another one bite the dust
FD's were never ment to be supercar's in price but in performance.

natural selection is slowing making our cars more valuable.
its really the only way fd's will climb in value. we have bad drivers (young and old) slowly making the fd a car worth more money every day. oh and we also have soccer moms in their tank suv's helping too. though suv stories are usualy sad ones that were not the fd drivers fault. either way, hold on to your baby as long as you can. weather you want to sell it or not, in another 10years or so, (mabie sooner) i think the fd will be a car that is sought after and buyers will be fighting to get their hands on them.
just my 2 pennies

11,239 Supras were sold in the U.S. from 1993 to 1998. Of those, 6,977 were turbo models, which makes the Supra Turbo almost twice as rare as the RX-7 TT, despite being available over a longer period of time.

If you really want to preserve the value of your car keep it completely stock, or if you just can't resist ricing the **** out of it keep the stock parts.
I really am apologetic for insulting you, but this is the most stupid fu**ing thread I have seen in a LONG time.
Damn, RonKMiller, you are so....articulate.
The guy has a point though, the cars were rare to begin with and becoming even more so. IMHO, I know of only two Japanese manufactured cars that have a chance at becoming true "collectibles", the 1st gen. Datsun Z cars and the FDs. Saying this though, I don't recommend buying them for an investment. But we may see the prices begin to level off, or even rise a bit, for un-molested cars soon. Especially if the RX8 brings any renewed interest in the rotary from the general public.

the FD has already leveled off in my opinion. it's still easy to get 12K for a high milage one. That was true as well 4 years ago when I bought my first FD. I think they will stay at the 9-12K range, and then as they get older start climbing up. the only thing that will drop the market out on them is if Mazda brings out another RX7 that looks pretty close to the 3rd gen but alittle better.
Hense a Single T 13B, to compete with the ZO6, colbra, etc. Then you will see the FD's price go down like the 300ZX.
