Not sure about that but, you can go to your local auto parts store and pick up a siphon pump.

You can't fill the tranny from the shifter plate.

Get a large funnel.

Then get a length of plastic tubing about 6 feet long sized so that one end will fit onto the funnel. You will be inserting the other end into the tranny fill.

With the car up on jackstands (drain fluid first obviously), you get under the car while your buddy stands on a stepstool/whatever over the driver's side of the engine bay.

Have him hold the funnel and thread the hose down through the engine bay to you under the car. Stick the end of the hose in the tranny fill. Have your buddy pour new fluid into the funnel, and let gravity do it's thing. You should have a catchcan under the car with you, and a bunch of rags.....once fluid starts to dribble out the fill hole you're done, plug it up.

Takes a little while, but it works

I've seen it done using that method, but I found a cheap plastic hand pump from the local Harbor Freight store for $5.00; it comes with a four-foot length of clear plastic tubing that fits right into the fill hole. It was quicker than waiting for the ultra-thick viscosity oil to flow by itself and didn't require another person for the job. Just a suggestion if you can find it.

****, wish I woulda thought about the funnel and 6 foot hose... I did it by buying a pump from the auto parts store and the damn hose popped off so many times cause the gear oil is so damn thick, and got so messy.

popped off of what? yes it is thick but it is made to pump oil... I am not sure what your talking about because what I used didn't pop on to anything....at one end there is a tube that goes into the bottle of oil....that end was to large to fit so I sliced the bottle down the neck to open it up some and then I slid the tube down the neck..the pump is connected to the hose that slides into the bottle and then there is a hose that has a locking nozzle you place into the fill hole...pump and done....way easier with a pump

the way I did mine was to get A small bottle of Gear oil,and a big bottle TOO.the Small bottle you attach a piece of Fuel line to.and you put the line into the Fill hole in the transmission. Then Squeeze..then once you can't get anymore from the bottle.fill it from th big one and Repeat, until you fill it.Some others have done almost the same but they gravity feed the Oil ,using a funnel and hose..running the hose up and through theInterior's hole for the shifter.and lead it down to the Fill hole..Best of Luck(hope you can understand what I was tryin to Relay to ya..)

i think what he meant when he said the hose kept popping off is the hose on the outlet side of the pump. if the hose wasnt tight enough and the fluid was a real heavy weight, then the pressure from the pump would casue the fluid to compress before it had a chance to come out and possibly pop the hose off the nipple where the oil was coming from.

but anyway, yea i bought the 4 dollar pump from advanced autoparts today and had that done in like 5 minutes

i used a 15/16 socket for the drain and a hex head (though it's a torx head nut, a T54 I believe)

Yeah, that's what I was talking about. But I had that thing on as far as it would go. It was a piece of **** anyway. Maybe 2 or 3 bucks.
