Water in Spare Tire Well Winter

Water in Spare Tire Well Winter
For some reason, every time its cold outside and it rains really hard, my spare tire well fills up with puddles of water.
Only the spare tire well.
I cannot pinpoint for the life of me where the water is leaking from...theres no trail..
No water next to the jack and wheel chalk area and no water on the other side where the lug tools are...it must be dripping down from the taillights or something in the tail light area??
I've read this is a common issue on probes and 240sx's where the tail light seals dry up.
Anyone else have this issue on the FD? Diagram of tailight seals?

I still find it hilarious that there is always at LEAST one other owner out there that has the same problem at the same time - no matter how obscure!!! I was about to post about this myself after finding this flood last month. Yet another common issue with these cars..... it just never stops does it?
Everything I've read has been covered up there - spoiler, rubber, drains. It's too cold to be doing more research than that on the car. I didn't know it only happens when it's cold though...I just discovered mine last month luckily. I've never really looked into the spare area before but I took out my Bose snake recently. There was a lot of water but it was clean and there was no corrosion so I don't think it's happened before. I'm suspecting the rubber but it looks okay by eyeballing....I guess I have to play with it a bit and do some testing.

The water gets in at the push-in screw bosses that are located under the two black triangle pieces above the tail lights. Remove those triangles and look at the three white nylon push-ins. They have little black gaskets. I bet your moves around some. If so - they leak.
Water invades the rear hatch area there from the runoff trough down the side of the hatch. Once inside the rear cabin it drips downward on the inside of the rear wraparound panels and eventually into the wheel well.
Question - is your rear hatch carpet dry on top ? Then it's screw bosses.
Extract them carefully, silicone sealant and re-insert.

buddy of mine had a problem with his civic, his spare tire well was full of water.
apparently his laziness to clean it out paid off as when winter time came, it froze as a solid block and he just lifted it out in one piece
Later we found out it was coming between one of the tail lights and the body, the sealing gasket had come off. (We figured this out by him in the car with a flash light and me hosing the car down from the outside.
