If it only smokes white in the mornings when the engine is cold, that is normal. If it continues after it is warmed up to normal operating temperatures, then you know you have an o-ring failure.

The only things you can do is:

1. Try some Barr's (or other brand) coolant gasket leak stop additive.
2. Rebuild after you can no longer start your car when the engine is hot.

Otherwise, if it is running right, do not worry about it.

Upon start up check and smell the white smoke. If it smells sweet then its your O ring. There is no way of a simple fix for this, as you need to rip apart your engine and do a rebuild. however, depending on the seriousness of the O ring damage, you should probably be able to drive your car around for a good amount of time and not have to worry about it too much. if it gets bad to the point where you are constantly putting expensive coolant in your car then its time for a rebuild for sure.
