Water leak

I have a water leak. When i start my car the coolant light comes on.So i fill it up and go for a drive. Then ill let it sit for a night and when i come back and start it the light comes on again.Theres no water on the ground.
I have to put more water in as it hasnt got enough.
Any one had this problem?

Thanx for the thread info Mahjik
Found a leak comming out of the sensor at the neck of the filler cap. When the engine gets hot the sensor seaps water. Can see it on the hose.Only one problem is that now i get some water comming out the overflow.
Maybe the lack of pressure in the system is causing the overflow problem, and when i fill up with water, its got kn where else to go?
Fucked if i know
Ill change the sensor and see what happens
