Waste gate

here is the e-mail from cam,
Jason Drove your car and all is well, checking the boost it was going past 10 quick so back at the shop it took 15 psi to start opening, I will check with aspec on the spring, we may need softer. Here are a few more pic.

I bought the 500 R off a-spec. Wouldnt a boost controller fix this. He says i need a softer srping. And that with the min boost its still going over 15psi. He said that when everything is wraped up and cremic coated that its producing so much cold air that it over boots.

Boost controller will only add boost above the wastegate spring pressure. If the spring is 15psi then you can't boost less than that. But I don't see why they'd have such a large spring in there. What size wastegate? If it's small it could very well be boost creep. Which a boost controller wouldn't really help eliminate. You'd have to go to a larger wastegate or softer spring so that it would release more exhaust or open sooner. A-Spec's kits are good so I wouldn't imagine the wastegate would be too small

I think it was a 44mm. waste gate.Cam said he has to put in a softer spring. Once he does this and the engine is broken in can I add boos up to 25psi. with a soft spring..

Thanks for the quick reply mazdatim.
