Warning lights on start up...

Alright, I went to start the car to adjust my idle, since I was adjusting it wrong before apparently, and now it won't start. I noticed the Exhaust Overheat light on and I never noticed it on startup before. I'm guessing from reading other posts on that subject that it IS one of the lights that's supposed to come on at startup but I've never seen it before. Any ideas?

start-up or idle... very different things.

Probably because it's by your elbow and you don't really look there when you're starting the car.

SFA? I haven't gotten to the idle part yet, haha. It never started, just cranks. I'm wondering if it's flooded but I don't know why it would be. I did start it Sunday morning, that was the last time it ran, but it almost sounded like a piston engine=not good. I'm also wondering if maybe my coolant seals are going cause my coolant was disappearing, but I don't have any in my oil and it could have just been because of the hose I just replaced that had a hole in it.

Yeah I was wondering if that might be why too. But I could swear I've looked before. So I guess you're saying it DOES light up during startup normally? Haha.

I have never noticed mine come on at start up either. I'll have to look next time I start it.
