Warm Start RPM Question
What system is involved in causing the engine to rev to 15-1600 RPMs when you first start the car after a warm start, then let it fall back down to idle.
I think my warm start problems lie with whatever system controls this, as today VegasFD stopped by my house and he is 100% stock under the intake manifold, but he has a Power FC so his car doesn't use the accelerated warm up system.
Basically the only thing I can think of is the ISC and the TPS give readings back and forth.
The problem with my car is that it doesn't rev up high when you warm start it, that's why it is lopey and sometimes doesn't want to start unless I give it gas.
The motor has good compression and is freshly rebuilt, but it doesn't want to warm start since I removed all the of solenoids & rats rest items.
VegasFD's car will start up with no throttle applied (like it should) no matter hot or cold, rev to 15-1600 RPMs for a second or two, then fall down to normal idle.
I'd like to get my system back to functiong like this from a warm start (because cold start still revs to 1500 RPMs via the fast idle cam)
Anyone who knows which system component is responsible for this, I could really use the help.

I mean the only two items that I would ASSUME could make this happen, are the fast idle cam and the ISC.
I doubt the fast idle cam can retract that fast as most motors heat soak a bit and coolant temps tend to get higher once the engine is shut off, so I'm assuming that that ISC controls this function from a warm start. Am I right or wrong here?
If so, would this indicate that I probably need a new ISC? Mine seems to work fine at controlling idle, but the warm starts are not brought to their proper RPM like it should be when first started each time after the engine is at operating temperature.

For those reading this, I probably should have mentioned:
I am fully non-sequential, removed all emissions/rats nest, removed the AWS, and all solenoids. The only thing I kept was the ISC
I run a Power FC for engine management.

This is NOT something covered in the FSM my friend. No one I've asked so far has had a clue EXACTLY what system controls this function.
Seems you don't know either.
I research and know plenty about these cars, I've done just about everything and had just about every problem you can have with it. But this is one thing I don't know / can't figure out.
