Question Wanting To Know If I Have A JDM Efini Series Or Not...Please Help

I need help to see if my JDM front clip that I have is an Efini series or not. I tried to find some help by searching about Japanese VIN numbers but came up with nothing but other people asking for the same thing on this forum. On the little metal sheet that's screwed to the frame of the car in the engine bay under "Model" it says "E-FD3S" and under "Vehicle ID Number" it says "FD3S-103572". If anyone can help it'd be great. Thanks beforehand for anything....

My guess is that your car (clip) is a very early model (93 or something), because my car (JDM) have this data:

Chassis #: FD3S-201113
Registration date: 1994, January

And my model: F112-210

This is an original JDM spec 94 Type R RX-7.

Reading from your VIN (FD3S-103572) your car is older than mine. All cars AFTER FD3S-40xxxx have the new 16 bit ECU and some other 96+ changes..

I'm not 100% sure what you are asking though.

Searching a bit more on japanese websites with your VIN brought up a 1991 Efini specs list, but that sounds a bit strange imo..

to answer your question...

from Oct of 1991 - Jan of 1996 = Enfini rx-7
after that, the rx-7 was re-named to Mazda rx-7.

it's 91-93 and would have come with an 'efini' badge - for what that is worth (nothing)

after the transaction from efini rx7 to mazda rx7, their ecu turned into 16bit, steel spare tire, black trim around the gauges, and inner colum gauges lights up green, eliminated dim adjuster. You can check your front clip with some of the information i've listed above.

actually - those changes all happened in jan 96 - so it was still efini badged.

to the OP: you have a car that was made between 91-93 (probably on the early side of that, given the low VIN). The "1" after FD3S tells you that it is the first production run. All FDs prior to late 97 are efini - so you have an efini front clip.
