Want to try 15 psi - what octane to run?

Like it says I want to run 15 psi for a few trips down the track. The car is basically stage 3 M2 with a midpipe. When i got the car it was boosting around 13psi on long hard pulls using super with no problems. I turned the boost down to around 10.5 since. What ratio of 110 octane unocal 76 leaded fuel would you run with super on a full tank of fuel to feel safe running 15 psi? I have a stock fuel pump and injectors. I know running leaded fuel kills O2 sensors, not worried about that at this time, want to go wideband soon. Also the car seems to run rich, the rear bumper/tail light/wing gets black quickly after being cleaned. Thank you for any information provided.

The M2 chip is only good for 12-13 psi. It does not have the maps to support 15 psi. Your injectors will also be maxed out at that psi. Personally, I would not do it. If you do, certainly run a large percentage of 110 (one tank won't kill the o2 sensor).

Also, a wideband would be kind of pointless since you can't tune the ecu. I think that you should move on to a PFC at this point.

Gotcha, stick with the PFC route, NO ONE is tuning those damn AEM units and they don't even come with a usable base map.

What rynberg said is right, the M2 and pettit ecu was remapped to support 13.5 psi TOPS - there is a pettit umlimited that supports 15 psi. With your stock fuel system it is pretty risky to run 15 psi even on short sprints. You can run 15 psi safely on pump gas when your car has the fuel system and mods to handle it. The PFC and fuel system should be in your future if you want more power.

rynberg is dead right again!

also...in your sig u list a 114mph trap @10.5 psi...that is very impressive...thats 330-340 rwhp

The motor is a stock reman. The turbos are stock with almost 60k. The night i ran that mph was the last night drags night at PIR in Portland Oregon. It was cold that night and that is why i think i pulled that much mph. My slowest mph that night out of around 8 runs was 112.something. On a warmer day/mid summer i was running 108.

Usually 2.05 60ft times on shitty street tires and really bad wheel hop, usually have to back out in second in order to get the wheels to stop hopping. Putting the unobtainium diff mounts in this week hopefully.

Actually, both Pettit (limited and unlimited) chips are good for 14.7 PSI. The unlimited just removes fuel cut at 14.7 PSI.
