considering the fact that I dont have 3 grand right now to get it rebuilt? Yeah a little.
Seriously though Im not sure if the car is on its original motor or not.I wonder if a carfax would be able to tell me.
Heres a question though.
Ok what would boost creep look like on a boost gauge? would it keep going higher and higher and never stop? what if you let of the throttle? wouldnt all of your boost escape via the blow off valve?

A carfax most likely will not tell you if the engine has been replaced. Look on the front of the engine. If it was replaced with a Mazda reman there will be a plate attached to the front of the engine as in the attached photo. Also if it was replaced at the dealer Mazda records teh VIN of your car along with the number on the attached plate (the one on the motor)

Boost creep is when boost continue to increase above what you may consider normal as RPM increases all the was to either redline or overboost (boom). Letting off the throttle will decrease boost and allow the built up boost to vent via the factory blow off valves.

Unhappy

so then boost creep is basically uncontrollable boost as far as how much builds up but can be controlled via led foot.lol
also much thanx for the info regarding the rebuilt moto info.Do all rotary rebuilders do this or is it just mazda?
I checked the motor and theres some pulleys in the way and whatnot but from the looks of it theres no such plate.Which means One of two things. The motor has been rebuilt elsewhere(doubtfull) and or the motor is the original one.Which means im sitting on a ticking timebomb.Just great.

I ran a downpipe, intake and Apexi GT Exhaust and had no creep. As soon as I added a midpipe I got creep, and the boost controller didn't help one bit. I ended up running the silencer in the exhaust to keep it under control until I had my wastegate ported out.

good info.i was thinking the same as to the boost controller being able to control boost creep. So did you notice a big difference power wise with the midpipe bricke? also do you still have relatively the same power with the silencer on? im thinking restrictor plate right about now.Once the car is running correctly of course.

one more thing if I do add a midpipe I dont want the damn thing to blow my eardrums out.Mainly because with just a catback and also a downpipe the car is already about as loud as I can handle.
How would I got about getting my midpipe modified with one of those resonators?
it should quiet the thing significantly right? and where can I find such a resonator?

I had a resonated midpipe and it quieted done ever so slightly. It is not worth the $$ in my opinion. If I were you.... I would run with the DP and aftermarket Cat back. Forget putting in the mid pipe and now worry about boost creep on yout tired engine. You never mentioned what you are running for a computer.

Talking

not a damn thing as far as aftermarket ecu.I supposed the more stuff I add on my tired engine the more likely it is to fail sooner right? yeah.I just figured that maybe with less backpressure the car can run more efficiently and therfore help the engine run better.
