Most hp on stock ignition?
What's the most anyone has put down on the stock ignition? I've never had any problems with ignition break up so we're going to shoot for 22-25psi or more. Aug 7th is the date. Jeff48 will be helping out on the dyno so this should be interesting.
Only thing I have done is ngk 10 plugs.

Hooray For Boobies!!!
Your going to have break up at that PSI range, I believe. Not sure what the highest HP number is but I bet you can hit 400 HP on the stock ignition.
I needed a larger leading coil and an amp in mine and I only run 18psi on pump gas. Plus my A/F ratios are very rich which makes it harder to burn.

Jeez Eric, I thought you were already making about a bazillion horsepower and your car only weighs 800 lbs. with you in it, so why are you worried about how much power you can make with the stock ignition? Isn't that T-51R Kai the next best thing to magic?

got tuned for 18psi on 93 octane..... tosses 114 in with race plugs for the dyno and on the second run my manual boost controller popped off causing me to boost 23psi then my turbo sucked in my boost controller...... new wheel will be here tommorow......

I took some automotive classes at school and my elc. teacher said that all that ign. stuff doesnt do much. the way he explained it was you have a 12 volt system runnig though the car how are you going to get more spark with the same amount of power? its like getting more horse power without more fuel or air. he is an old mussle car guy and he teaches auto elc. so i trust what he said was true. i mean it makes sence

And you can increase voltage seen at the spark plugs with a higher powered ignition. This will make the spark less suseptable to being "blown out" by the high combustion chamber pressures.
Put a HKS twin power/AEM on a stock car and the gains will be negligible. Put it on a car running 25psi+/500hp with ignition breakup, and you will notice gains.
