You better do some research. Slapping on a single turbo is no easy mod. You need the turbo, intake, exhauset, bigger injectors, fuel management, etc.

I went single two weeks ago. Installed a GT35/40 kit.

Take off the TB, UIM, LIM, turbo's, exhaust manifold, DP, then rip 90% of the vacuum lines out, the rats nest, and all the solenoids.

Once you engine bay looks empty, you bolt the new single turbo exhaust manifold on, bolt the turbo on, connect the DP & WG, install new fuel rail, injectors and FPR. Install a boost controller, run a few vacuum lines for that (one of very few vacuum lines left at this point), load a good starter map in your PFC, and hit the road tuning...

Total job takes about 20 hours if you have the help of someone who has done it before. If I was to do it all myself, it probably would have taken me 3 days, but the process isn't all that hard.

Kudo's to Z from the RX7store & Badog for their help on the project!

I'll post pics of the install in the next few days, been meaning to take some pics anyways!

i am doing mine myself. it is takign some time because i only put about 3 hrs tops at a time into it. and on top of it, had to drop trany out because of throwout forks breaking in 3 places and cracking my bellhousing...so i had to address that problem as well.
i had a fuel rail made for my sec. injectors
moded primary rail. built a fuel system (AN fittings, and lines)
installed BOP for all the emissions BS that is not used anymore.
installed haltech e6k
redid did my avc-r for an external WG.
if you are mechanicly inclined, it is not that bad at all. if you doubt yourself, send it somewhere.

i too thought i would just slap a single turbo on my fd. . . my car has been sitting all summer. . . hahahahaha. maybe that will clear up some confusion. the problem is nt yourself putting things together. its actually getting the parts on time. thats the really fun part. haha.

how do you like the setup? how much HP can we ask from this kit? what kit could it compare in terms of power? (i think it's ball bearing so i guess spool up time isn't a question...)

Here is Badog's description of his first drive of my car with the GT35/40 kit installed after I tuned it in a bit.
