Want to get a 3rd gen RX7, but have a few general questions first...

OK, here's the skinny. I've got some money and desperately need a car and I want to get a 3rd gen RX7. I can only afford them with around 50k miles on them. I just want to ask about the reliability. I've heard the 13b in the 3rd gen is a bit high maintenance, and whatever I get has to last a while. I'm in college, but decisions like this still have to go through the parents, so they need some convincing, too, that a car like this would be a sound investment. I figured the best place to find it would be a place full of 3rd gen owners. Please help me out, guys!

I have to agree.
Beware
I'll put it to you this way. If I knew 4 years ago what I know now........I would just be buying one now........ probably with a blown motor, and building it from scratch.

Yes, I would not recommend it as an only car or for anyone on a tight budget. How about a Miata? No, that is not a joke. Drive one and you'll see.
