Buy a gen2 Trust me you don't want a 10k fd and if all you have is 10k you'll never be able to keep it on the road. Please trust me.

3rd Gen is not for you unless you have over $15000 at least.

Talking

Check this for 10K you can get a 2nd gen for around 3000 USD if you look around hard enough, then you use the rest of the dough to polish it up and then add some kick *** mods on there and it'll roast most cars out there PLUS imo looks better than boat loads of cars too! 3rd gens rock don't get me wrong, but with 10K you're not going to be able to enjoy it very much.

Peace,
AJ ^_^

ugh, nothing against 2nd gens, but they're kinda "80's lookin"

but yeah, 10k is not enuf for an FD, you'll just have to spend
more money on it later.

Look into getting a nice looking car, thats not fast.
Like a honda or something.

I just sold an FD with a salvaged title and a blown motor
for more than you can get most nice civics for nowadays.

maybe get a prelude or something?

I beg to differ. If you look around you can find a FD for around $10K. However, it is going to be over 100K miles, and may need a new engine soon. So, if you add in the $2K it will cost to get you a reman. engine, you are still only at $12K plus tax....

This is assuming that you have another car, and you are handy.

I have found a good car I believe for a good price, and I am pretty sure I will have to replace the engine within 1.5 years. However, it won't be my daily driver, and I can pull the engine myself, and install a reman. engine....

If the car is for a daily driver....Forget it!

Just my .02.

there arent that many ppl that can put in a new engine
themselves.

If you cant do it yourself, it'll cost you anywhere from 4 to 6grand
for a new engine.

If you have the time, if you have the patience, if you have the money, if you have the knowledge, you can find one. I did. Not perfect, but the right deal. I saw two on the internet just recently, one for $8K needs turbos and one for $9K running from a VA dealership. There are others to be had, but you have to look hard. I missed a wrecked one for $3500 one time, and another with a blown engine and minor body work for $6200.

Keep your eyes peeled. Most likely, you will find one when you least expect it.

By the way, there is a 1994 Montego Blue in my area newspaper for $16,000 with 50K miles. It came from California and supposed to be garaged kept and in excellent condition. Does not give much specifics, so I think it might be a base model. Anyone interested can email me direct at mccreary@cove.net and I will find the guy's number. It is in Altoona, PA.

Good Luck,
