Yep. Dollar for dollar. Hour for hour. Nothing improved my driving and racing ability more than karting.

Well guys, I just bought a 93 R1 from Tri-point. I'm really happy with what I'm getting, so thanks for all your opinions! Thanks again.

I'm interested in karting myself, because it seems like a great way to improve your control. But unfortunately I just don't think I can spare the extra k's to participate

Nice fd to the starter too

When I find free time, I'm going to look at it more seriously. Wayyyyy too much fun. Since the little one is still kinda young at 19 months, I figure I have another year or so to get ready before I begin his training.

Congrats on the FD, drunkengimp.

Look up indoor karting tracks in your city. We had two here in Houston, but I think one closed. A somewhat affordable way to get some laps in. They use real kart chassis with somewhat emasculated engines, but they create enough G's that - if you aren't in shape - you're in for a physical pounding. The first time I drove them, I was sore for days.

Oh, and be careful after you leave the kart place. I had gotten use to the telepathic steering responses of the kart that, when I got behind the wheel of the real car, It felt like I was steering a boat and near ended up in a ditch haha.
