i wound up installing one of these 400lph pumps into an FC with a 35R because it was the only option we could find locally without ordering something over the weekend and he had to leave before then. i chopped off the jumper connectors and hard wired it up, i also previously installed a series 4 pump housing which has bulkhead connectors versus the small 4 pin box connector style the series 5 and 6 used(which also previously failed, cooked the power wire connection inside the connector at the top of the tank).

been about 5 months and i haven't heard any issues from him about the pump so far, car didn't have any volume issues on a 496WHP dyno'd car. the supraTT pump that was virtually new failed on the dyno pushing the same horsepower, started to lose volume with each pass. i chalk that up to the kenne belle cooking the windings pushing 17volts through it, i turned the kenne bell off for the walbro since it apparently didn't need the boost.

and yes, it is a rather quiet pump.

after seeing that brand new denso supra pump fail, i have since rearranged what pumps i put my faith into. i have never personally seen a bosch or walbro unit fail and won't take just people's word for it, most pumps fail due to wiring issues or over voltage cooking, the walbro i took out of that car i mentioned lasted 3 years pushing 450whp cooking it up to 17volts regularly and it still was working fine when we took it out. so after personally seeing the abuse walbros take, i won't pass on stories i have heard but what i have personally done with them and so far i trust them more than the common denso upgrade units.
