VIN number on transmission?

Does anyone know if there's a VIN number on the transmission and if so, where it would be? I'm assuming it'll match the chassis VIN in some way if there is one? Thanks in advance!

The common knowledge is the engine/tranny isn't serialized in any special way with the chassis.
