Video for new FD owners

Hello, I made a video for new FD owners. Touching on some tips and advice. Besides the ones I mentioned, do you guys have any other tips?

Nice looking car.


* The door cups seem to have been strengthened sometime after the 93 models. At least when I bought mine they were ALOT stouter. Buy a set. You’ll be glad you did and your fingers will thank you.

* Glad you spoke about cooling. IMO everything starts there. But I alway recommend these things to new owners….

-get a copy of the factory service manual. Any time you see something you can’t identify look it up in the FSM.
-read thru all of the FAQ stickies at the top of this section.
-gradually change out ALL fluids (coolant, oil, diff and trans gear oil and brake). You get familiar with the car and a good maintenance history.
-if the car is relatively stock and especially if running decent don’t make any performance modifications for the first year. Just the fluids and fixes. Doing that saves a lot of time, money and possibly the car.

Thanks for that info! I know I appreciate it. That is good data, and I am so on board with if your car runs right leave it alone for a bit.
