Vibration when Braking?

Vibration when Braking?
I was told that the rotors could be warped. I know what the ABS feels like and its not the abs. Just want to make sure it is warped rotors before I go and get new ones.

Yeah, the rotors are warped. Most likely the front axle, too. I had some pretty bad shaking at high speed braking and at low speeds (5mph), it would make my car lunge ever so slightly when the brakes were applied. I got the rotors changed out -- good as new.
If your rotors are still think enough to resurface, you might want to go down that path.

Just to cover all the bases...
It could also be some sort of deposit or glazing part way around, so inspect before you resurface or replace. You MAY be able to correct the problem just by cleaning up the surfaces with emory cloth. However, it IS more likely to be warping and/or hard spots. If either of these is the case, my choice would be new rotors. If a rotor is warped, resurfacing is very often not very effective, and the problem will recur.

Like DaveW said it could just be pad transfers. Have you recently put on a new set of brake pads and driven the car hard? I've had this happen a number of times with my FD. If you don't bed in new pads correctly (especially if they are racing pads) a lot of pad material can transfer to your rotors at first causing a vibration.
