Very strange boost spike/creep issue

Hey all, I recently developed a strange boost creep and or spike problem.

first off my power mods are:

Intake downpipe midpipe catback y-pipe Power FC SBC ID boost controller

When I go WOT, with my boost controller off, I see 8 psi to start, which in turn, creeps up to 12 psi at 6.5k rpms on a cool 40-50 degree night. Once I hit 7k rpms though, somthing strange happens.

It first started that at 7k rpms my boost would spike up to 17.8 psi in an instant, and then my power FC hit fuel cut and that was that. The car would all on its face. It was strange because it only happened in 3rd gear or higher.

So I was running on some really shitty plugs, and Steve over at gotham suggested that I could be getting a massive backfire causing a boost spike in some way or another at 7k rpms.

So I did that, and now its the same issue but when I hit 7k rpms my boost hits 15.8 pounds and I dont hit fuel cut.

I dont understand whats going on... My boost is completely fine till 7k rpms and then it just goes haywire. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks!

Steve

Btw I have no settings on the boost controller for boost, the gain is set at 15 though.
