So after pulling out the stock airbox and installing the apexi cone intakes, my stock BOV has become very loud and noticeable. Just wanted to see if you guys experienced the same thing or do you think I missed a hose somewhere?

 

Nope, that sounds about right.

 

when you remove the airbox and replace with aftermarket intake/filter, the blow off is more noticeable...

 

The airbox is basically a sound muffler. Once u throw on cones u get to hear everything
