Vacuum simplification.....acv question.

Is there a way that I can do the job, and keep the acv but eliminate the solenoid that powers it? Or if I have to keep it, can someone tell me which lines from the stock vacuum diagram you have to keep or how you could run new lines. I'd like to do the complete simplification minus the acv, but I'm not sure how to leave it since I'm removing the vacuum rack.

Any help would be appreciated.

Bump.....

Anyone have an idea where I could plug in the vacuum lines / solenoids for the ACV to the simplified sequential vacuum setup??

I think you will need to keep solinoids B and C. Switching and Relief 1. I cant see why you couldnt run a line from the UIM to B (Relief 1) Im no expert on this. I ditched mine so paid very little attention.

I am going to ditch mine once I pass smog, but I still want to do the simplification to trace down and eliminate the possibility of a vacuum leak, because I do have one right now.

I was just confused from the stock diagram to this one, as to what I would still need to keep for the ACV as it looks like two different solenoids go to it. Plus I wasn't sure if I could just plumb it in in the same line as the two solenoids in the simplified version use or if it needs a vacuum source instead of a one way check valve source. This stuff gets confusing lol

Man that diagram is definitely confusing in terms of how the ACV is plumbed.

Has anyone done this simplification while keeping the ACV?

Nobody has done this simplification and kept the ACV, or knows how the ACV works?

i dont get it you want the acv to work?
but you want the solenoids and/or vac lines removed?

what are you trying to accomplish?

I want to do the simplification adn eliminate the rack, but keep the ACV and it's solenoids for emissions testing, then I'll ditch them after. Just not sure how to hook it up with no rack

I'm still planning on ditching the rest of the items in the simplification (EGR, Double throttle, etc)

But I need to keep the ACV until after emissions testing is done. So basically, I'm trying to figure out a way to put the solenoids in place with vacuum connections and where to still simplify things, but keep the ACV connected. I don't know where to route the lines to do so or how it needs to be setup.

Following the AVC vacuum hose/solenoid routing in this diagram:

http://www.fd3s.net/vacuum_hose_replacement.html

Keep the light brown and light blue hoses and solenoids B and C, independently of whatever else you may be doing with simplified sequential. Solenoid B still needs to see the manifold reference blue line from the LIM that feeds it's front nipple. Solenoid C appears to have another manifold reference and checkvalve inline to one of it's nipples and that would need to be kept as well. IN theory you could use the same reference line and just tee it off, since the pressure would be the same on the upper or the lower manifold. OR you could stay true to the diagram and plumb it exactly as you see.

Basically you are going to imagine that there are no other hoses or solenoids in that diagram except the ones that ultimately lead to the ACV.
