vacuum reading worries me

my car has 70K and the motor is a new crate motor from mazda with 8500 miles on it now...

the idle is about 750-800 rpms and the vac is -16 on the dot....

if you hold the accelerator and the rpms at 1500 rpms the vac is -18 on the dot and you hold the rpms at 2000 rpms the vac reads -19 this is with the parking lights on if you turn the parking lights of the idle drops down to about 550-600 rpms and the vac reads at about -15.9 to -16 vac same goes for all above rpms the vac reading drops aobut -.1 meaning at 1500 rpms with the parking lights off the vac is at -17.9 to -18 vac and about -18.9 to -19 vac

the car runs smoothly and has no hesitation and has a perfect idle and no bouncing around and th eonly smoke i get is early in the morning when it is really cold outside and thats it

car has a boost pattern of 10-8-11 ( i meesed up the boost controllers and cant get it back right lol) but the car hols boost steady with no drop off

am i just being a pain in the *** and too paranoid? i have searched and read and see a lot of people like to chime in and brag that they have s vac reading of -20 at idle and whatever but the concensus of the searching has come to that for new or newer motors like mine i should be reading -18 vac at idle and if any lower check compression

Yes to the paranoid part. I've had 2 FDs and replaced the stock engines on both.
so ive had stock ports, mild port on the first one and very little more aggressive on this one. I can tell you that I never saw more than 15-16 vacuum on the stock one. Never past 12-13 (3mm seals) on the pettit engine and on this low mile engine just rebuilt with one new housing (new mazda 2mm 2 piece seals) its around 14 at 850rpm idle

your car is fine. keep it lubricated, I like to put in 1 oz for every 2.5 gallons of gas of valvoline 2 stroke tcw3 ashless oil along with the omp. And make sure everythings setup right and that the a/f is great and youll continue to have a strong car. on the stock ecu id suggest you get the boost back exactly to 10-8-10 again too just to be perfectly safe.

Don't worry about it. Car is fine. I would only look at the boost gauge when you are WOT.
