Vacuum help

I have a bad check valve and I know this is my problem. I have the part ordered from mazda, but being the weekend, I can't get one in my car. So I have a couple days to wonder what is being affected. The check valve is black and green. It connects a vaccum hose from the front of the vacuum rack to the intake manifold. My question is where does this nipple on the front of the vacuum rack go? I want to know what it's purpose is, which solenoid it goes to, etc... The problem it is causing is crankcase pressure causing high oil pressure and blue smoke. Everytime I unplug the vacuum rack side of the valve a whoosh is heard meaning there is a lot of possitive pressure in there. If someone could please let me know, I would appreciate it. Thanks a lot.
