vaacum hoses and electric connector
vaacum hoses and electric connector
I´m checking all my vaccum hoses for air leaks. I have compared the hoses of my car (95 FD) with the vaccum hose routing diagram (F-10) and found some differences. My EGR selenoid valve is there, but it has a different connection. Some nippels shown in the diagram are not there (see the picture).
Is there an other version of the vaccum hose routing diagram or is this the only one. I´m using the 1994 Mazda RX7 Workshop Manual.
I found a blue electric connector under the extention manifold (see on the picture). Can someone tell me for what this is/was for?

The '95 FD's didn't have EGR - that's why you don't have those extra stuff for the EGR system. The blue connector is for the EGR valve as well.
That's all totally normal.

Hi Dale,
ok, that sounds good to me. But there are 7 selenoid valves (A - G) under the extention manifold and I have all 7 of them. When there is no EGR in my car, for what is the selenoid valve no. 4 (D)? I searched the web for information and found some pictures of the selenoid valves. The colors of my selenoid valves match the colors of the pictures.
Is there an updated workshop manual for RX7, newer than 1994?
Is there an updated vaccum hose routing diagram?

There is a '95 shop manual that omits the EGR, but they literally took the vacuum diagram and whited out the EGR stuff.
If you have a European spec car, things might be a bit different than a US car.
BTW, you need a better vacuum diagram than the one you attached. This is one of the better ones out there -

Compare the diagram with your car, if anything is really weird post up pics.
