V Mount Intercooler

Shopping question:
Are there any other companies out there that make a v-mount intercooler setup other than Rotary Extreme? I love the Rotary Extreme setup - I just haven't seen anything similar done by another company.

Thanks

Yes, there are. HKS, Knightsports, and probably several others.

Thanks - seems like the only place online I can see that is selling this setup is Rotary Extreme. I've seen the HKS FMIC setups in a couple of spots (along with all of the other FMIC's) but no v-mount.

Rotary Extreme is the only place currently who sells a V-Mount setup state side (USA). The others, you'll have to find a place to order them from overseas.

Thanks Mahjik. I've been looking pretty hard.
I've ordered from them before and had a good experience.

The difference is that if you get Chuck's (Rotary Extreme's) kit, you get good customer support and someone who can and will answer your questions. Try THAT with an overseas vendor!

Agent - I've looked at the pics of your car about a hundred times. Forget about functionality for a second - I just love the way that setup looks

The more I think about it - the Rotary Extreme kit is probably a good thing for me. My next mod should include an upgraded radiator, so why not do it along with the intercooler and get a set that goes together nicely. Will probably order this and upgrade the fuel pump and ecu. Can't do anything more without the last two.

from what i have read the hks v-mount involves relocation/elimination of various sorts.. (could someone verify?) rotary extreme has a good v-mount set up with a need for greddy elbow and odyssey pc680 battery. jason at jt-imports.com might be able to get u a knightsports v-mount before he closes down.. here is a pic of the knightsports from jt-imports..

Might as well buy the bumper guard from Chuck while you're at it.

If you got a friend that lives there and speaks Japanese its easy

BTW I would not say good customer support, I would rather put it as being GREAT!, SUPERB!, good is cutting Chuck short.

Knight Sports or RE-Amemiya is what I am considering, but if cash runs short will either make my own or get Chuck's.

Thanks Agent Speed. I actually have the bumper guard in my possession right now. It's been sitting around for a month - just haven't installed it. Looks good

I not sure I even need the v-mount. I don't race the car - it's strictly for weekend fun. Probably overkill really, but I don't care. I'm gonna get it. Did you do the install yourself?

Retail for them in Japan are:

KS $3129 +tax/shipping
RE $2980 +tax/shipping

I believe my friend can get them for about(honestly need to double check, but close to):
KS $2850 +shipping
RE $2820 +shipping

I personally like the looks of the KS better, I am SURE I can make my own for atleast 1/3-1/2 the cost, just saves headaches. If you decide to go custom, let me know maybe we can help each other out.

I have the medium v-mount on the car right now but just sold it to go with the monster v-mount set up since I am going single....this is the best set up that I have ever used and will never go with a different set up...

Agentspeed - you sold me on that bumper guard, when I saw you post on the other forum I ended up buying one from Chuck to, Sorry dont mean to be a biter since my car is white also...

Yup I installed mine myself. It took a few days but it wasn't that bad.
