Question V-Mount IC vs. FMIC vs. Road Racing applications?

Hey guys I know everyone has an opinion about this. On one had you have Professional Japanese GT300 and D1 using v-mount ic and radators for their classes. But the only parts they sell for the rx-7 in the us are FMIC which cause 80% or more of rotarys to overheat. I do not drag race and dont care how fast the car is on a strait track so a fmic isnt for me. My question is how do you guys think it should be done. There are many diffrent types of ic and radators that can be placed on this car. My friend in Japan tells me that he likes the v-mount with the ducting for a "cool nose air intake" and ducting that provides a cool flush of air through the engine bay as well instead of the radator and ic blowing its hot air on the engine. He also reccomended a huge aluminum ast with 4 hoses instead of the three like mazdaspeed makes and the use of sard radator hoses to make the diffrence in cooling ablity. My car is a daily driver for now. I plan to move it to fully solo 1 and road race eventually and get a daily driver that will last as not to put premature wear on the roatry but untill then its my ride. What do you guys think about these set ups? Oh almost forgot there is also a top mount with that scoot hood that has the GTS viper style ducting that seems to work well except that even SR motorsports has stopped production of a top mount? So give me a hollar on this subject please....?

Please use the "search" function, there has been a LOT of recent discussion.....

Also, if you are not aware, Chuck at Rotary Extreme makes a v-mount setup for much less than the Japanese companies....www.rotaryextreme.com
