I have a rotary miata which I use for both on the street and the tracks. I have a custom 3" straight thru exhaust. What I want to do is put a cut somewhere do the middle of the exhaust and put a v band clamp in that area so that I can have the ease of separating the exhaust. Where can I buy the 3" v band clamp and where can I get the flared ends to weld onto the 3" exhaust pipes.

 

I can't help you out, but I can tell you that I think your car is BADASS!

 

Some turbos use them on the compressors , The Rayjay ( brand name ) turbos that Garfinkle has for his 1400cc Kaw motorcycle all have a v band clamp ( 3 of them ) He has an under the sink water filter that has one . Go to a good turbo shop in your area and ask what they have . I think a good machinest can make you one on the lathe . Gar said it was no big deal to do . I do not know ,as I had to ask him what one was .
