CO Is using stainless steel/brass check valves overkill?

So, I'm pondering ordering a set of Viton check valves from Dale Clark but I came across these stainless steel check valves.

I know there's one steel valve already in place in the vacuum system. What about replacing them all with stainless?

This is what I'm looking at

or should I just stay with the viton ones?

Sorry to beat a dead horse but I found nothing on the steel check valves.

The length might cause kinking issues, since you only have short distance usually with the vacuum lines, the viton ones haven't failed me and work great from dale.

Just PM Dale Clark for a set of his Check Valves. Best in the biz... and only like, $30 shipped to your door or something like that.

What is the cracking pressure on them? Are the designed to seal air or liquid?

Got it, got it I'll stick with viton I just don't like how they look. Anyways I couldn't find specific on the cracking pressure for these. Most seem to be opening at around 1bar or about 14.7psi. Not good since our check valves need an opening pressure of ~0.5 psi.
The brass/stainless valves are meant for Co2 in aquariums etc. I believe the Viton ones had the same origin.

My Viton check valves have a very small cracking pressure, it's a floating diaphragm.

I warranty them for life, that's how well they work .

You could paint them black or silver or something for cosmetic reasons, but they look way better than the stock green check valves!

PM me if you need a set.

Thanks,
Dale

Or you make the vacuum lines longer so you can tuck the check valves out of the way

I am happy with my Viton check valves from DaleClark. They are kinda wide and disc shaped, looking a little bit odd, but no one will ever notice them when you paint them black.

The viton valves are already a huge improvement on the stock plastic ones. There's just no reason to use anything else.

I also use Dale's viton valves and I could not be happier with them. My car gets the best quality I can afford to use on it, and they are the best I could find anywhere.

I need another one though, as my auto has one extra green check valve the manual does not, and I didn't order enough the first time Have to pull the manifold off again just for one more..
