Wuz up guys, just two questions to ask. First do any of you guys know were I can get a blown motor for a rebuild, Iam going to be pulling my motor this christmas so I am going to rebuild a blown one and just put it in when Iam ready, instead of rebuilding the one that is in it. Also my dad and I are having a disagrement about this question. Is the second gen engine the same as the third gen other than the turbos. He thinks we can use the second gen motor in the third gen and we will have the same performance. So is the second gen motor the same as the third gen.

get a reman from mazda...especially if youre waitin till winter (stupid wait list)
using a blown motor goin to be as good as gettin a reman...
the rotor housings can be cut up inside...and tons of stuff like that. sure its cheaper (get a Rotary Aviaton kit or something and put it in yourself) but reliability isnt gonna be nearly as good.

as for the motors...no a 2nd gen will NOT work
different motor mount positions, and i cant remember the other differences between the 13B-REW (FD TT) and the 13BT (FC Turbo)...but its not the same

you CAN put it in there...it requires a lot of modding....but why would you want to?
